Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get involved with QSDP

QSDP is always a look out for people who want to be part of it’s community, and it's a club so we make sure to provide many opportunities for you to get involved. For instance:

  • Be part of the executive team - QSDP conducts it’s hiring process at the end of each Winter semester for the following academic year.

  • Volunteer - With the amount and scale of events that QSDP programs, we are always in need for volunteers who are devoted to increasing and promoting diversity on Queen’s campus. So make sure to check out our social media platform and subscribe to our monthly newsletter to be kept updated on the volunteering opportunities.

  • Be part of the community- QSDP does not have an official general team, however we have a strong and safe community that loves to spend time together through the events that we create for them. So make sure to check out our social media platform and subscribe to our monthly newsletter to be kept updated on the current events and how you can find your community.

How do I come in contact with QSDP for a partnership/ collaboration/ raising issues?

To us, diversity does not stop at race. We believe that diversity is a large scope that embodies and represents so many communities and people. Therefore, if your ideas, issues or else match with our vision, please feel free to send us an email at queensstudentdiversityproject@gmail.com  and we will be more than happy to contact you.

Is QSDP strictly focused on Queen’s?

For this 2020-2021 year, QSDP decided to focus on both Queen’s, the Kingston community and other schools that have little diversity on their campus. QSDP plans on expanding the Student Diversity Project to a national level and creating a community that extends beyond Queen’s and Kingston. Check out our external team initiatives to see the available resources for local and national communities.
